John M. Marraffa Jr. serves as the President of Kinney Drugs, where he has driven transformational growth and innovative healthcare services since joining the company in 2019 as Vice President of Healthcare Services Integration. Under his leadership, John launched Kinnect, an onsite pharmacy division supporting specialized healthcare facilities, and led Kinney Drugs’ comprehensive COVID-19 response, making vaccines widely accessible to the community. John’s focus on innovation and collaboration continues to open new pathways in healthcare delivery.

In addition to his leadership at Kinney Drugs, John plays an active role in industry and community organizations. He is a member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), serving on its Retail Advisory Board, Regional Chain Planning Committee, and the Health and Wellness Innovation Advisory Board. His recent appointments include positions on The Lifetime Healthcare Companies’ Central New York Regional Advisory Board of Directors and the Regional Healthcare Advisory Committee. He also serves on the North Country Regional Economic Development Council, the NYS Association for Rural Health Policy Committee, and NY’s Clinical and Research Expert Panel for Addiction Medicine.

John’s career includes significant experience as Regional Healthcare Director for Walgreens Co., where he led the integration of Walgreens’ healthcare offerings across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He has also served on several prominent boards and committees, including the New York State Medicaid Pharmacy Advisory Committee and the New York State Board of Pharmacy, where he completed two terms as chairman.

A graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, John remains closely connected to academia, contributing to advisory committees for both ACPHS and Binghamton University’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, helping shape future pharmacists’ education and practice.

An engaged community leader, John has been involved in initiatives for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the American Cancer Society, and more. He resides in New York with his wife, Lauren, their two sons, Nico and JJ, and their two beloved boxer dogs, Junie and Billy.
