Mary Ellen Kleiman is Deputy General Counsel and Vice President, Legal Affairs/Deputy General Counsel for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. In her role as deputy general counsel, Ms. Kleiman serves as in-house legal counsel to NACDS and as a legal resource to NACDS members on matters related to pharmacy compliance, liability, and enforcement matters, among others. Prior to joining NACDS, she was with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, & Feld, L.L.P. in their DC office. Ms. Kleiman is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Columbus School of Law of the Catholic University of America. From 2008-2013, she served on the Board of the American Society for Pharmacy Law.
