John serves as the Senior Vice President of Pharmacy at H-E-B, a position he has held since May 2024. John and his team are responsible for strategic planning, operations, contracting, and all services that support H-E-B Pharmacy Partners (employees) in over 300 pharmacy locations in Texas.
Prior to joining H-E-B, John spent 25 years with various companies of Ahold Delhaize USA. In 1998, he began his pharmacy career as a Pharmacist Intern with Hannaford Bros. Co. in Colonie, New York. He went on to hold several operational and executive roles, such as Vice President of Pharmacy for Hannaford Bros. Co. and Vice President of Pharmacy Services for the Ahold Delhaize USA support services organization.
In 2001, John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Albany (NY) College of Pharmacy. He has attended several leadership development programs, including sessions at Harvard Business School and a six-month assignment in an international Delhaize Group Leadership College. He maintains active pharmacist licensure in Maine and New York.
